Our Mission is to serve the acquiring business community by providing education and creating a welcoming networking medium for all involved, providing a forum for training, education, and networking with financial institutions, sales agents, ISO’s and MLS’s.

The Western States Acquirers Association is a not-for-profit, non membership organization dedicated to creating an independent forum explicitly designed for the purpose of educating, networking and helping to create an environment of solidarity within the merchant bankcard acquiring field. It is completely self-governing and staffed by industry volunteers dedicated to accomplishing these goals. We fund each of our events solely on the revenue generated through exhibitor sponsorship and attendee registration fees. Exhibitors are defined as organizations or individuals that primarily sell to the Acquiring Industry. Attendees are defined as financial institutions, Independent Sales Organizations, or individuals that primarily sell acquiring related services directly to the retail industry.

The WSAA organization was founded in 2003 by Sherry Frederickson, Steve Eazell, Ken Elderts and Alice Kong to support the Acquiring Industry within the Western States as a regional non-profit organization delivering industry training, education, and networking. The WSAA board members and Advisory Members team come from a diverse background within the payment services industry. WSAA volunteers come from a diverse background including some of the following: Card Acquiring, Card Issuing, Processors, Independent Sales Office (ISO), Merchant level sales (MLS), Hardware and Software, Regulatory/Compliance, Media and more. All board and advisory members donate time and resources for the benefit of the association and industry. WSAA would not be possible without the support of the industry including its attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and media partners. WSAA is dedicated to offering the most up-to-date, industry related topics for learning sessions and  panels. Lead by professional speakers and industry specialist, registered attendees get access to these vital seminars. We are pleased to help further educate our community.
