SVP, Strategic Client Relations - Vantiv
Pat is a veteran of the electronic payments space with over thirty years’ experience working for, and with, the premier providers in the industry. He has held increasingly responsible positions with processors including Vantiv, First Data, and TSYS, in addition to leading the Direct Sales group at Humboldt Merchant Services. His business passions include building and leading world-class client-facing organizations, fostering team member engagement, enhancing client relationships, and managing strategic contract negotiations.
SVP, Merchant Services - The Independent BankersBank
Jason Putnam is the Senior Vice President of Merchant Services for TIB – The Independent BankersBank. For nearly 22 years, he has worked with Merchants, Financial Institutions, ISOs, ISVs, 3rd Party Vendors, and Software Providers to deliver solutions in the payment arena and grow strategic partnerships. Jason heads TIB’s in-house solutions for merchant services, including sales, merchant and bank support, and operations.
Prior to joining TIB in 2015, Jason held a variety of positions in sales, sales management, client relations, and business development for SignaPay, First American Payment Systems, and Chase Paymentech. He has served on the board of the Western States Acquirers Association since 2009 and currently serves as the Vice President of the board.
Linda Grimm is a seasoned payments executive with extensive experience managing operations for domestic and international merchant acquirers. She has extensive knowledge and expertise in the area of Merchant Acquiring Operations specializing in risk mitigation and regulatory compliance. Her successes are in building processes and procedures in risk management, compliance and business operations resulting in improved customer service levels and operational efficiencies. Ms. Grimm currently serves on the Western States Acquirers Association Board and is a member of both the Merchant Acquirers’ Committee and Women Networking in Electronic Transactions. A frequent speaker and author of numerous articles including a contribution to C3ET’s book, “Credit Card Processing for Sales Agents”, Ms. Grimm utilizes her extensive experience to promote education and awareness throughout the payments industry.
Lane Conner is the Founder and CEO of Fuzse, a fintech organization which specializes in working with mobile app, custom software, and web development firms to bring more advanced solutions for easier e-commerce. The company’s technology empowers developers to create, enhance, and transform basic commerce solutions into true long-term revenue drivers for their platforms through world class gateway solutions. Conner founded Fuzse after several successful acquisitions and exits in the payment industry.
VP, Sales & Business Development - Merrick Bank Acquiring Services
Deborah Camm joined Merrick Bank in 2012 as Vice President of Sales and Business Development and Client Relations. Under her leadership, Ms. Camm's team is responsible for managing and expanding wholesale BIN partnerships, VAR and referral relationships, expanding new product acceptance, processor relations, and marketing. Prior career experiences over a 19 year span include holding key senior level executive positions with Humboldt Bank Merchant Services, USAePay, and Planet Payment. She has consistently focused on relationship development, revenue attainment, and the creation and execution of innovative solutions for a wide array of clients.
Alice Kong is a veteran of the payments processing world with over 40 years of industry experience. Ms. Kong started her career at Bank of America where she worked for 18 years. She learned the business from the ground up and steadily progressed up the ranks to National Sales Manager. Afterwards, Ms. Kong sold on the national sales team for First USA (now Chase/Paymentech) and for National City Processing. In 1998, Ms. Kong joined BuyPass, shifting her role from a direct sales executive pursuing merchant business to recruiting sales representatives. This shift further rounded Ms. Kong’s expertise in the processing business providing her a perspective from both sides of the processing world. Ms. Kong transitioned through the acquisition of BuyPass by Concord EFS and ultimately the merger between Concord EFS and First Data. Through the various mergers and acquisitions, Ms. Kong has worked with the top five payment processors in the nation.
Mr. Dreise joined Select Bankcard in early 2011 during its formation. Processing its first transaction in February 2011 and through organic growth, under Mr. Dreise’s leadership, Select Bankcard has grown to over $1.5B in annual processing volume. This has been achieved through two main sales channels, that being Community Banks and Agents/ISO’s. Exclusive relationships with multiple Acquiring Banks will be fundamental to future growth and is why Mr. Dreise believes Select Bankcard will stand out amongst the Payments Industry.
General Manager - Digital and Integrated Payments, Discover Global Network
Julie has more than 21 years industry experience with Discover Global Network, where she has held numerous positions in sales and relationship management of merchants, Acquirers, ISO's and processors. She currently is responsible managing ISV, reseller, and eCommerce clients. One of the primary reasons for her success is her ability to cultivate, nurture, and manage relationships to grow business over time. She is recognized by both clients and colleagues as a consummate professional who is respected not only for results achieved, but also for marketing savvy, business acumen and professional leadership. She currently resides on the Education and Securities Committee for RSPA.

WSAA President (2014-2016) and WSAA VP (2009-2013), Mr. Ayala currently serves as CEO and Managing Partner of oneSOURCE Business Advisors, a management and marketing consulting firm serving the electronic payments industry. Mr. Ayala’s former executive positions include; VP, Director of National Sales and Marketing at Moneris Solutions, VP, Sales and Marketing at 1st National Bank of Nevada and Arizona, and VP, Sales and Marketing at Humboldt Bank Merchant Services. With over 30 years of retail management and electronic payments experience, Mr. Ayala’s expertise includes; start-ups, marketing, branding, business strategy, POS technologies, operations, risk management, portfolio assessment, sales training, and 3rd party contract negotiations and technology integration. A bi-lingual Spanish speaker, Mr. Ayala earned his degree in Business Administration, from Humboldt State University; he enjoys serving on the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation Board and spending time with his daughter - Jessica, family, and friends...
VP, National Sales Manager - Diversified Acquiring Solutions
Steve Eazell is a seasoned and proven payment professional. He is a true veteran of the payment industry, achieving remarkable success for over 25 years. Steve is one of the Founders of the Western States Acquirers Association and served as President for four successive terms, during the years 2010-2013. He also serves on the advisory board for both The Green Sheet and ISO & Agent weekly. Steve has also served on numerous committees for the Electronic Transaction Association and speaks at various conferences and trade shows. He is happily married for 27 years and has a grown daughter finishing college.
Regional Sales Manager - General Credit Forms, Inc.
Sherry’s seasoned career spans over four decades in the Acquiring Industry, starting with Bank of America in 1973 where Sherry was National Accounts Sales Manager - Midwest Region, selling merchant acquiring services to Major National Accounts. In 1985 Sherry went to work at Modular Data Inc., one of the first “host based” processers for Electronic Data Capture (EDC). In 1989, she went to work for General Credit Forms, Inc. (GCF) providing POS supplies and supply programs to the acquiring industry. This is Sherry’s’ 28th year with GCF.
Strategic Relationship Development Leader - Payments Executive
Over 26 years in the payment industry. Recently oversaw a team at American Express that manages a portfolio of business development acquiring partnerships and several of the disrupters entering the payment space and changing the buyer and seller experience. Member of W.net for several years, having served on the national planning committee and hosted an event in the American Express HQ in the World Financial Center. Experience in the payment industry spans from strategic relationship management with clients that span from enterprise level to start-ups. Business Development and third party account development with top networks, ISOs, Gateways, Payfacs, and disruptors like Uber, Stripe and Airbnb. Enjoys the leading edge, and being involved in exploring how our industry has progressed through EDC, Fraud prevention, BIP, industry expansion like healthcare, online, and globalization. Outside the payment industry, 8 year member of the Phoenix Chapter of National Charity League, having served 2 years on the board, and served as VP of Membership. Most recently acted as liaison with Phoenix Children’s Hospital to create and coordinate volunteer opportunities for our mothers and their daughters to work with their Kidney Dialysis Center, Camp Rainbow and Camp Maska programs which serve the children with cancer and kidney disorders and their families.
Ben is CEO and is co-founder of the payment gateway USAePay. Ben started in merchant services in 1996 before starting USAePay with his brother, Alex, in 1998. Ben has a degree in Computer Science which has helped him guide and grow the technical aspects of his gateway company. Aside from leading the technical side of USAePay Ben is also involved in the daily business development decisions taking place at USAePay.
Greg Castro is a seasoned integrated payment & business development professional with more than 23 years of experience in channel management and development, creation and management of strategic partnerships, sales, and operations.
Prior to joining Monetary in 2017, Castro served as VP, Business Development for iPayment where his responsibilities included growth and development of existing sales channels, and creation of integrated channel sales. Prior to iPayment, he spent over two years with SilverEdge where his responsibilities included growth and development of regional sales, direct sales, channel distribution efforts, association partnerships, agent & ISO program development, brand management, outreach/marketing efforts, and in-house creative services. Prior to SilverEdge, he spent nearly five years with Vantiv Integrated Payments, formerly Mercury Payment Systems, leading channel development and agent and partner development. His vast payments experience also includes senior business and partner development roles with First Horizon Merchant Services and TSYS, formerly Vital.
Nancy is an experienced event professional with extensive operational and business management experience in shaping and delivering conferences, exhibitions, and awards. Nancy has been the meeting planner for WSAA since 2004 and enjoys a warm personal and professional relationship with the WSAA board and conference attendees. Nancy has worked for over two decades across in a range of markets and event formats with extensive experience in the medical, financial, non-profit, and wedding industries.
Nancy has organized events from educational seminars for 5 people for the Oncology Nursing Society to month long training camps for 2,500 attendees for Novartis. Her clients have included WSAA, Novartis, Pituitary Network Association, Second Byte Foundation, Financial West Group, Merck, Eli Lilly, Oncology Nursing Society, and Wyeth. Nancy is a graduate of Moorpark College with degrees in Behavioral Science and Liberal Arts. She is also a breast cancer survivor.
Before co-founding ONESOURCE Business Advisors with Mr. Ayala, Mr. DeFazio held positions at established ISOs and financial institutions. Mr. DeFazio’s unique bank expertise and pragmatic ISO background enable him to offer outside-the-box tactical strategies to clients of all sizes.
From 1998 to 2004, Mr. DeFazio held key positions at Humboldt Bank Merchant Services that included operations, accounting, risk management, and underwriting. In 2005, Mr. DeFazio was promoted to AVP, ISO Relationship Manager where he supported over 150 nationwide sales offices. His areas of expertise included sales support, profitability strategies, residual analytics, Network rules and regulations and conducting sales trainings.
During Moneris Solutions' acquisition of HBMS, and in addition to his role as AVP, ISO Relationship Manager, Mr. DeFazio was selected as a core member of the transition, team integrating sales support functions, operations, and converting sales partners to a new CRM merchant boarding tool.
In his most recent role as Director of Business Development at Platinum Choice Bancard, Mr. DeFazio was responsible for developing PCB’s in-house sales training for their partners and was extremely integral to the success of PCB’s growth initiatives via his marketing approach and strategic formation of third party relationships. Mr. DeFazio is a member of the Electronic Transactions Associations Technology, ISO Partners, and Risk, Fraud & Security councils.
